Description: Humorous scene at the French court or in the house of a nobleman. The lady of the house surprises her husband with the young noble lady during a tête-à-tête.

Condition: Good condition. The paper is slightly discoloured due to its age. The sheet is foxed in places. Sporadically bumped along the edges. The corners of the sheet are minimally bumped. The image is freshly preserved and makes a perfect impression. Partly clearly browned along the edges. The upper right corner of the sheet has a large liquid stain. Several minimal marginal tears along the upper edge of the sheet. Lower right margin also minimally torn. Light soiling and crease marks under the image.
