BROWN CLARENCE: (1890-1987) American Film Director. T.L.S., Clarence Brown, one page, 4to, Hollywood, California, 14th September 1925, to Jimmy Starr. Brown writes to thank his correspondent for their kind and flattering review of The Goose Woman, remarking 'Your review will make me work with increased effort on my coming pictures in order that I may not fall short of your predictions and praise'. Together with a vintage signed and inscribed 8 x 10 photograph of Brown in a head and shoulders pose. Signed in bold, dark fountain pen ink across a light area at the base of the image. VG to EX, 2 Jimmy Starr (1904-1990) American Screenwriter & Columnist.The Goose Woman (1925) was a silent film starring Louise Dresser and Jack Pickford.
