Description
Two (2) Historical 19th Century maps. 1st item: CARTE DE LA TERRE SAINTE OU DES DOUZE TRIBUS D'ISRAEL map, drawn by Guillaume Delisle, engraved and published by Jean Claude Dezauche, Paris, 1828. Copperplate engraved map with hand coloring depicting Israel with the locations of tribes on each side of the river Jordan and other areas of interest labeled with French text. Title cartouche featuring Judaic religious objects, lower left, inset map of Jerusalem, top left, scale of miles and reference table, lower right. Surrounded by scale notations and a triple line border. Housed and matted under glass in a giltwood frame. Sight: 20 3/4" H x 26 3/4" W. Framed: 28 1/2" H x 34 1/2" W. 2nd item: Copperplate engraved map with hand coloring, source unknown, depicting Russia and the surrounding countries, with countries, cities, towns, mountain ranges, bodies of water, and other areas of interest labeled in English text. Notation, top right. Surrounded by scale notations on three sides. Housed and matted under glass in a molded giltwood frame. Sight: 22" H x 25" W. Framed: 37" H x 40" W.

Condition
Both item in overall good condition with light toning. Not examined outside of frames. 1st item: Few scattered minute foxing spots. 2nd item: Tears, largest 7 1/2", to center fold line.
