Origin: Thailand, 1950-1960 Medium: Temple Charcoal Rubbing on Rice Paper Dimensions: Art: 21" X 22" Condition: Excellent/Good Rubbing of two Siam dancers. Both dancers are wearing highly decorative clothing and have bare feet. Temple rubbings weremade by Monks in training to help make money for their schooling in the 1950's and 1960's. The Government did not like them using sacred temples to create these rubbings in fear of damaging the carvings. Now Monks are able to sell replicas of the rubbings.
