Bust depicting Chief Crazy horse with braids framing his face and tall feather headdress. Baur was well known for his Native American sculptures, often depicting Native American Chiefs or dynamic hunting scenes such as his work "Buffalo Hunt."

From the collection of a North Scituate, Rhode Island estate.
Signed "Th Baur New York 1885 Copyright by Theodore Baur March 6, 1885" to left side, marked "Roman Bronze Works N.Y." on back of base.
