Russian enamel and silver spoon, made by Ivan Saltikov. Fully Marked: '84' for silver content and 'IC' in Cyrillic for Ivan Saltykov - retailed by FABERGE - for sample we put a screenshot about the same situation.
CONDITION: Overall condition is good. The item is described to the best of our knowledge. Please refer to pictures and email with any questions.

HISTORY of SALES: A few years ago Russian silver spoons were sold on eBay for $1,500 and on Christie's for $8,000, $8,000 (made by Ivan Saltykov !!) and $11,500 - please see the screenshots.

HISTORY: From the mid-19th century to the early 20th, Russian art of all kinds experienced a renaissance that is known as the Silver Age. Russian artisans were inspired by the Gothic, the Moresque, chinoiserie, the Baroque, the Rococo... all ornate styles replete with scrolling vines and flourishing arches. They combined this with the bright colors and rich ornament of Old Russian applied art to create a unique style.
