FOUR CLOISONNE DISHES
Japan, Meiji period (1868-1912)
The four cloisonne dishes worked in polychrome enamels and copper wires, the rims decorated with either geometrical borders or florals sprays, each dish depicting different designs comprising a variety of flowers and blossoming sprays, different kinds of fruit and vegetables like pumpkins, peas, peaches, melons, and animals including sparrows, a little egret, butterflies, and bees.

Condition: Good condition with traces of wear and losses to the enamels, typical firing flaws, and pitting.
Provenance: Austrian private collection.
