A Chinese embroidery tunic surcoat for a woman, dating from the Qing dynasty. Woven design on textured black silk, circular medallions with a white crane, with a water wave motif on edges of sleeves and at hem. The circular medallions of the crane continue around the back of the garment. With a mandarin collar and knot buttons.
