"Identified" Original Civil War Era Soldier's Folding Wallet
c. 1860s Civil War Era, Soldier's Folding Leather Wallet, Identified as belonging to a Union Army Sgt. Major George A. Zeiglery, Very Fine.
Civil War era soldier's four-fold folding Wallet identified as belonging to George A. Zeiglery a Sgt. Major in the 126th Pennsylvania Volunteer infantry from Franklin County, Greencastle, PA. Zieglery's name is written on one of the outside folds of the wallet. The piece is in excellent condition, soft, rich patina leather with no issues. Measures 4 1/4" by 2 3/4" folded and 12 3/4" open. Sgt. Major Zeiglery was heavily engaged in the fighting at Fredericksburg and Chancellorsville and survivied to carry this wallet home.
