An extremely fine repousse antique Sri Lankan silver charger, in the form of an ancient Sri Lankan moonstone, a traditional religious stone carving only found in the temples of Sri Lanka, featuring circle designs, including animals such as lions, elephants, and horses. Representations of moonstones are rare, and fine examples such as this almost never come to market. Likely produced in the 19th century during the British colonial period. 128.1g.
