A William IV Sheffield Plate Tea Urn
circa 1830s, silver over copper, unmarked, the body with inset armorial crest featuring the motto Retinens vestigia famae (retracing the footsteps of fame) above the spigot, the body decorated with alternating lobes and floral and foliate sprays, bands of floral and scrollwork borders to base of urn, everted rim of body and edge of removable cover; all raised on a square integrated plinth with paw feet.
