7 Early 20th Century Engravings of views of New York City & Bridges: Henry Winston, "Brooklyn Bridge showing the East River", signed and numbered, "Downtown Buildings", signed indistinctly, Syd Browne, "Derrick and Barge" 1940, edition of 50, Louis Leon Dolice (1892-1960), "Little Church around the Corner, NYC on E 29th Street", signed, MacDonald Mayer, "The Bridges from Brooklyn", signed and numbered, Meyer M Melicow, "Highbridge, Harlem River", 1934, signed, titled and dated, Louis Schmidt (1857-1935), "Hellsgate Bridge New York" 1928, signed in pencil lower margin engraved and dated lower right recto. Approximate height of Schmidt, the largest, 12 inches (30.5 cm.) X approximate width 8 inches (20.3 cm.). PROVENENCE: From the Estate of a Long Island Collector, a fine group of early etchings of New York City compiled with the help of Rachel Davis Fine Arts, Cleveland, Ohio.
Condition
Good condition with light age related handling wear. 1 or 2 with trimmed margins, the Winston mounted to cardboard.
