The Indomitable Spirit, consisting of a traveling exhibition, benefit auction, and limited edition portfolio, was the first project by Photographers + Friends, a New York City-based, not-for-profit organization founded in 1988 in the interest of raising awareness of the AIDS crisis and providing financial support for medical research, advocacy, and education.
Signed and dated to lower edge '15/50 William Wegman 1989'. This work is number 15 from the edition of 50 published by Photographers + Friends United Against AIDS, New York. Sold with paper folio.
