A signed photography book "Minamata Words & Photographs: The Story of the Poisoning of a City, and of the People Who Choose to Carry the Burden of Courage" by W. Eugene Smith & Aileen M. Smith. Signed and dated on interior page in pen with personal note to Marty Forscher.
Condition
Good condition with tears in cover. Normal wear from use including creasing to pages, cover and binding. Some staining and soiling on pages. From the estate of Marty Forscher. Marty Forscher was a renowned camera repair and custom feature designer in NYC. He started at 7 years old working at a camera repair shop. He repaired cameras for wartime reporters during WWII, he invented many features that would later become standard features on high end cameras, in example he created the time release mechanism used by the astronauts on the moon landing mission so that all 4 astronauts could be in the picture. He owned "Professional Camera Repair" and worked with many of the most renowned photographers and this was given in appreciation of the work he did for the photographer.
