Rare and unusual primitive chair with Moravian heart-carved back, a hexagonal plank seat with chamfered edge, pegge and tapered legs. Date of 1784 carved into backrest, with very old label remnants under seat. Dimensions: H 35.75" x W 16.75" x D 17" x SH 19.25" Condition: Wear consistent with antique age; legs and backrest apparently reattached, with re-gluing and other reinforcements made under seat; large splits to seat, patina and rubbing throughout. Chair is wobbly, not stable.
