Paperweight made out of a lion's head door knob taken from a building. American, ca. 1870. Bronze. Wood and Bronze base is marked "From the Entrance Doors of Masonic Hall Erected 1870 Demolished 1911". Bottom of doorknob marked "Made by Russell and Erwin Mfg Co.". Russell and Erwin Manufacturing Company of New Britain, CT. Doorknob is in good shape, with minor wear on nose and great patina. Great detail.
