Collection of photos, negative prints, negatives, newspaper and magazine clippings. American, mid-20th century, ca. 1920s - 1950s / 1960s. Possibly the collection of a photographer. Pictures include images of scantily clad women and shirtless men. Some suggestive positions. Some include drinking, smoking, and gambling as well. Some pictures show violent scenes, and guns and knives are occasionally wielded. Advertisement / ad work photography, possibly for pulp or true crime stories. Some pin up as well. A couple hundred to a thousand individual prints or cut outs. Marked photographs include Harry Conover, Gary Wagner of New York, and a photograph of a man in farm clothes marked "Benton Clark is a Bad Boy!". Condition varies, most have some bending but have sharp and clear details. Newspaper clippings and magazine pages include true crime detective stories, often including sexual components. Covers include Vogue and Look!, including a 1957 cover of Look! with Sophia Loren. Magazine pictures include well-known Hollywood stars.
