Description
Three porcelain drinking steins / covered mugs by Manning, Bowman and Company of Meriden, CT. American, late 19th - early 20th century. Two mugs show a monk with a similar stein and a brewery scene with a barrel dated 1624. The other mug depicts two Native Americans, one with an impressive headdress. All three mugs have a pewter top / lid that is connected with a joint to the handle. All marked with the Manning Bowman mark. Two of the mugs are green, one is red. Mugs are in good condition overall, with scuffing of surfaces and patina on pewter elements. Minor wear / chipping around base. One mug lid inscribed CMM. 5 1/2" to 6" tall by about 5 1/2" wide.Keywords: antique, Connecticut, decor, decoration, fancy, Americana, American Indian
