Description

Marked Signed Wave Crest glove box with an erotic scene on the lid. Banner stamp mark. White opal glass with dark green finish. Raised / relief daisy decoration along lid and body. Lid includes a hand painted scene of a nude couple embracing and kissing while surrounded by flowers. The male figure is blocked, but the female figure is draped with only a sheer see-through drape. Similarities to Art Nouveau in composition. Brass colored metal collar and base with feet. No liner, one splotch of green paint within box. Hood condtion overall, with some wear and patina. Some residue on the lid of the box. Bits of cement / paste from box are within. 5 3/4" tall by 9 7/8" wide by 4 1/2" long.
