Ancient Roman CONSTANTIUS II, A.D. 337-361. AV Solidus (4.29 gms), Antioch Mint, 4th Officina, A.D. 347-355. NGC VF, Strike: 5/5 Surface: 2/5. Wrinkled, Graffito.RIC-83; Depeyrot-6/3. Obverse: Pearl-diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right; Reverse: Roma seated facing and Constantinopolis seated slightly left on double throne, each holding scepter and supporting shield between them inscribed VOT/XX/MVLT/XXX in four lines; SMANΔ. Rather well but evenly handled, this example presents a well centered strike and remains quite pleasing despite the noted graffito.
