Description
(American, 1864-1942), oil on canvas, signed l.l.c., exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts 131st Annual Exhibition 1936. To the verso is attached two pockets, one with a letter from Meeser to Dr. Charles A. Gleason together with the exhibition stub from the PAFA 1936 show, and the other with a newspaper clipping of Meeser's biography. Meeser was the founder of the Detroit Society of Women Painters, amongst other accomplishments.
