Italian Giltwood Mirror in the Rococo Revival Taste

fourth quarter 19th century, the delicate pierced surround having scrollwork punctuated with flowerheads, the crest decorated with a swan's-neck pediment and rocaille work.

In as found condition. Minor losses to some of the curl tips. A few old glued repairs to some of the curls as well. There is a face carving gone to both the left and right corners. These are both curls. Scattered chips and small losses to some of the leaves and flowers. Retains an old gilded surface with a pleasing overall patina.
