Eastern Greece, ca. 6th to 4th century BCE. A stunning Greek gold bead of a perfectly symmetrical composition. The conical bead presents with granules arranged in a large floral blossom on each face, with a granulated band marking the midline of the bead, and rings of gold surrounding the openings on each end. An exquisite bauble from ancient Greece! Size (bead): 0.7" W x 0.875" H (1.8 cm x 2.2 cm); (necklace cord): 20" L (50.8 cm); gold quality: 74.37% (equivalent to 15K+); total weight: 7.2 grams

Condition
Wearable as shown and strung in modern times. Gold bead is ancient and necklace strand is modern. Some indentations to the form. Minute fissures to the rings surrounding the open suspension holes. Otherwise very good. Gold has developed a lovely warm patina.
