Very attractive Heer officer's dagger with hangers, portepee and scabbard. The dagger bears a beautifully-aged dark amber grip, completely intact. The pommel and crossguard retain a great deal of detail, though the plating on both is substantially worn. The blade is just a tad 'misty' with almost no corrosion, and the WKC maker's mark is distinct and bold. Leather washer is not present. The dagger bears a Luftwaffe portepee which was tied to it long ago, probably by its original owner, as evident by wear in the appropriate areas. The scabbard, though a bit tarnished, is straight and essentially free of and significant defects. A good set of hangers are attached thereto, and they are likewise in very good condition. Overall a very nice, original piece.
