Item Details
Description
Andy Warhol's Index (Book), first edition, Random House, 1967.

Measures 11.25 x 8.75 inches.

Provenance: The estate of Morton and Estelle Sosland.
In Kansas City, the Sosland family name is synonymous with both giving, and the arts. Of their many contributions to the community, 'The Soslands gave one of the nation's finest private collections of American Indian art to the Nelson-Atkins' museum (nelson-atkins.org). The content of this auction bears testament to their keen eye and varied interests. No property has been added; each lot here originates with the Sosland family and sells without reserve.

We happily provide seamless in-house packing and shipping services on nearly everything we sell.

Until further notice, we cannot offer international shipping in-house.
Condition
Very good condition, complete. Pop-ups, record and sheet with six (of eight) stamps are present. The back pages with the balloon are adhered together as they are supposed to be and have not been forcefully separated. The paper accordion is intact, but does not squeak. The Chelsea Girls paper disc is complete with its spring, but has detached from the page. The twelve-sided polyhedron is in good working condition, but has come loose from its string. The spine is separated along the back cover, a few pages are beginning to loosen.
