This is lithograph is one of 11 original lithographs created by Joan Miro especially for Joan Miro: Lithographs Volume 1, a catalogue of the artist's lithograph work between 1930 and 1952. Published in 1972 there were 5,000 copies of the English edition, and 150 deluxe French edition. Dimensions: 19h x 25w (framed). In excellent condition. Joan Miro (1893-1983) was a one of the most influential artists of the 20th century. He was a Catalan painter who combined abstract art with Surrealist fantasy. His mature style evolved from the tension between his fanciful, poetic impulse and his vision of the harshness of modern life. He worked extensively in lithography and produced numerous murals, tapestries, and sculptures for public spaces.
