Two George Jones & Sons Majolica Turquoise-Ground Oyster Plates
Circa 1874
Impressed monogram & crescent marks and three small cyphers, black painted 3589 and E or X
Each, formed as six radiating scallop shell shaped pockets, divided by smaller shells and seaweed, about a white central well. Diameters 8 1/2 and 8 3/4 inches, respectively.
