Curtis wrote about this: "A portrait of the subject shown also in Plate 693, with a different and modified costume."
Curtis wrote that the Natives of Alaska were the most isolated from the White an and were the happiest of all the Indians he had encountered as they still retained many of the old ways.

1. Copper Plate. Very Good. Minor scratches, tarnish, dents, abrasions, small dark spots, and ink residue throughout plate surface.
2. Envelope is in terrible condition having been torn in half, only the top half survived.
