Chinese Ming Dynasty Blue and White Porcelain Lidded Jar. Potted with a large cylindrical vessel, jar shape, globular belly heavy on shoulder, round mouth rim, short neck with official hat dome lid finial bud, and raised on ring foot base slight concave Hand painted ornamentations are rendered in clean white base color which contrast against blue fine color, depicted of Chinese mythical beast flying over thrashing lishui wavy waves. There is not any overlap of the outlines, its well carved, clear, subtle, and distinct.The underside unglazed, revealed the pale-creme ground revealed and dark greyish brown spotted firing marks and edge-cut foot rim.
