Provenance: The Collection of a Boston, Massachusetts Doctor.
Other Notes: The prolific English illustrator Sir Quentin Blake is best known for his children’s picture books and collaborations with authors including Roald Dahl. Together the two produced The BFG (1982), a chapter book featuring the illustrated character ‘Stilt Walker.’ Among his many accolades, Blake was appointed as the first Children’s Laureate (1999-2001) and in 2004 he was awarded the Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres’ by the French Government and later admitted to the Legion d’Honneur, an honor normally reserved for French nationals.
