Description
German high comb morion helmet, 16th/ 17th c., a high comb at top, over the upward pointed front and back brim, steel and brass rivets above the brim hold the leather liner band remnants, a small dent at one side possibly from combat, small nick to one side of brim with ancient repair, comes with adjustable height display stand, helmet: approx 11.25"h, 14.5"w, 9"d, stand: approx 12.75"h, 6"w, 6"d; 4.75lbs total **Provenance: from a prominent Dallas, Texas estate. Purchased at Peter Finer Gallery, St. James, London**
