Yi Head Cloth,China, Early to Mid 20th C. Head cover of mixed cotton fabrics in diamond shape, with pendant fabric straps of mixed handmade and commercial cottons and ribbon, one group decorated with silver plaques and drop pendants, silver bosses, mirrors, glass beads and silk fringe. Cotton cloth, ribbon, silver, silk thread; piecing. Yi People, Southern Yunnan Province, Malipo County, China. Size: 22'' x 45'', (56 x 114 cm). Provenance: Ex. Roger Hollander collection.
