Yao Priest's Robe, China-Vietnam, Early-Mid 20th C.Yao Quan Chet priest vestments; a sleeveless, open front, open-sided robe of cotton tabby cloth with embroidery in silk on a blue ground. Pattern of large dragons and horses on front and back. Central panels of blue cotton cloth, cotton fringe at base. Cotton tabby cloth, silk thread; embroidery. Size: 37.5'' x 19'', (95 x 48 cm). Provenance: Ex. Roger Hollander collection.
