Dong People Embroidered Baby Carrier, Late 19th C.Baby carrier constructed from two rectangles of cotton tabby ground. Embroidery done directly on ground cloth as well as on applied pieces of embroidery. Lower rectangle has a surround of appliqued rosette forms. Cotton, silk thread; embroidery. Size: 36'' x 16'', (91 x 41 cm). Provenance: Ex. Roger Hollander collection.
