Small Chinese porcelain bowl decorated with a seated sage and children and young ladies holding a banner that says something along the lines of 'self loyalty'. A lotus in vase, a bowl of peaches, and other auspicious objects, all in very thin black enamel outline and rather crudely applied bright colors. Unidentified four character mark in underglaze blue to base. Kiln flaw to base. Wear to gilt rim. Approx. 2 1/3" H, 4 1/3" diameter.
