This is a charming 17" Antique Armand Marseille Bisque head cloth body Baby doll, made in Germany.
The head of the doll is solid-dome bisque. This baby has a beautiful face with sleepy blue eyes and painted lashes.
She has a gorgeous smiling mouth and delicately brushed upper and lower eyelashes.
There is the usual red accent dot in the corner of each eye and also in the nostrils.
There is no visible cracks or damage on the bisque head. Back of the neck is marked, "A.M. Germany."
If there is more markings they are under the cloth body.
The doll has composition hands and feet. One foot is shorter, probably because the way it was attached to the cloth.
The dress is quite beautiful. It has cotton lace and it is 38" (97 cm) long. It is spectacular.
The doll has nice white bonnet. There are two small rips on the bonnet, easily repairable
The outfit appears to be quite old, but I would consider it to be vintage rather than antique.
The doll is in overall good antique condition.
