A GROUP OF FOUR WORKS ON PAPER BY NIKOLAI TROSHIN (RUSSIAN 1897-1990)
comprising:
a)Red Square. Lenin's Mausoleum Covered in Frost,1946, graphite on paper, 44 x 60.5 cm (17 1/4 x 23 3/4 in.), signed and dated lower right in pencil
b)Harnessing a Mare, 1931, gouache on paper, 62 x 44 cm(24 1/2 x 17 1/4 in.), signed with initials and dated lower left in pencil
c)Portrait of a Woman,1931, gouache on paper, 64 x 44 cm (25 1/4 x 17 3/8 in.), signed and dated lower right in pencil
d) Portrait of a Woodworker, 1941, graphite on paper, 44 x 32 cm (17 1/4 x 12 5/8 in.), dated lower right in pencil
CONDITION
a) Unframed, the paper appears in age-appropriate condition. A visible hard crease and tear to the upper left and right corners and along the lower edge. The largest tear measuring, 4 cm (1 5/8 in.)
b) Unframed, the paper appears in age-appropriate condition. Scattered tearing visible to the perimeter, most notably along the top edge, a loss to the upper left corner. As apparent in photographs. Largest tear measuring, 4 cm (1 5/8 in.)
c) Unframed, the paper appears in good condition. Pin holes visible to the corner of each. A light crease to the lower right corner. Scattering tearing along the top edge, a small tear to the lower left corner and a tear to the left edge, measuring 2.54 cm (1 in.) in length. As apparent in photographs.
d) Unframed, the paper appears in good condition. Very minor scattering of fly specks, as apparent in photographs. With no significant issues to report otherwise.
