depicting full-length portraits of Andrei of Smolensk (center), Daniel the Pilgrim (right) and the venerable Nicetas of Medikion (left), flanked on either side by saints, above them the Mandylion (spas nerukotvorny), egg tempera and gesso on wood panel; dimensions of icon: 31 x 25.7 cm (12 1/4 x 10 1/8 in.)

CONDITION
The icon is in overall very good age-appropriate condition. Minor craquelure. Some miniscule chips along the kovcheg on the left side. Two insert splints on verso. Inspection under UV light shows retouching to small areas in the outlines of the vestments and limited losses to the figure of Daniel, to overall less than 5% of the surface.
