Chinese, 20th century, solid natural carvings depicting the four heavenly kings. The first, with sword, guardian of the North; the second, holding a sword, King of the South; the oneholding the pipa, King of the East and God of Music; together with the King of the West holding a serpent. Each painted with red, green and black detail.
