Description
We are excited to offer a special copy of an original FD-26 Skull and Roses Handbill that comes from the personal collection of respected Rock Poster historian, Eric King.
Eric has dedicated his like to the study of San Francisco Psychedelic Concert posters. That work led to the publication of the universally accepted resource on the topic The Collectors Guide to Psychedelic Rock Concert Posters, Postcards and Handbills.
The Guide details how to identify posters from the Bill Graham, Family Dog, Grande Ballroom and Neon Rose series. The Guide also includes a catalogue of the Vulcan Gas Company posters written by Dennis Hickey. The first edition of his guide was published 1980. The guide has help countless collectors identify between original and reprinted posters.
Eric's cataloging system was adopted by CGC when they began certifying concert posters. The company refers to his notes to determine Originality.
The FD-26 is one of the undeniable stars of the 1960s concert materials genre, and its place in history is well known. This classic Mouse/Kelley design has survived the test of time and is easily one of the most recognized images in all of Rock music.
