period Philadelphia Chippendale example with breaks and repairs at joint of crest rail to splat and rear stiles, wear to feet with loss at one front toe, later rear seat blocking, finish distress; Rhode Island example with distress and tacking scars at shoe, old surface with wear and distress, especially at back, crack and repair with later brace at rear seat rail attachments (slightly loose); American or British example with minor break and repair at one stretcher, patch and repair with later pinning at rear stiles, surface wear; late 19th century example good overall with minor abrasions
