Description
Brown leather saddle holsters with integral wood cartridge blocks. Interesting Mexican War era set of holsters for a pair of single-shot pistols. Black leather with wide yoke and long tie down strap with buckle. Yoke shows lace holes for cover now missing. Holster body made by sewing outer leather to yoke. Each holster with leather covered, curved wood cartridge block bored for 6 rounds sewn to upper body. CONDITION: Very good. Minor crackling and finish loss to yoke from flexing. Partial tear to tie-down strap near yoke bottom and finish loss. Roller buckle in place. An interesting early set for an officer or enlisted dragoon with possible early Civil War usage.
