Antique Southeast Asian bronze rain drum, Possibly 18th c., Laos or Burma, cast dark patinated bronze encircled by concentric bands enclosing geometric motifs, the outer edge mounted with triple-stacked piggy-back frogs, strap handles to two sides, one with a procession of elephants beneath, 21"h x 26"dia

Provenance: The Estate of Peter Schub, New York

Notes/Literature: Peter Schub had a long and distinguished career as a photography agent. He negotiated for some of the most prominent photographers of the 20th Century including Irving Penn, Peter Beard and Anthony Armstrong Jones.
