Description
Vacheron & Constantin, Geneva, a fine sous fondant enamel pendant watch with matching chain, the decoration attributed to V. Martini, 16 jewels, stem wind and set nickel bar movement with lever escapement and cut bimetallic balance in an 18 karat, white and yellow gold, hinged back and snap bezel, open face case, the back with polychrome enamel floral ornament on a black ground, arabic numeral silver dial with engine turned center, plum colored steel moon hands, serial #370101, 27mm, together with it's matching, 18 karat gold and enamel chain, 33.2g TW, dial, case and movement signed, together with a 12 size Elgin pocket watch
Condition
CASE: Scratches to enamel; Enamel with small surface chip to left of bow; Enamel with minor loss at 3:00; Enamel on band with two tiny losses; Bow with wear and enamel loss from chain; Crown and pendant with traces of gilding; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: A few spots of very minor discoloration, otherwise very good. HANDS: Very good. MOVEMENT PLATES: Fine scratches on barrel bridge; Pin pricks on balance cock foot. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks) . Chain with enamel losses at edges of decorated links; Both catches replaced, both gold filled.
