Kieff Grediaga is one of the world's most famous living sculptors. Born in Madrid in 1936, Grediaga grew up during the Spanish Civil War. From a young age, it was apparent that Grediaga had impressive artistic skill. He would sell his paintings in the streets to make extra money, and as he grew he would work in his father's furniture and sculpture shop. In 1967, Grediaga followed his loved of the arts to Vienna, Austria. He began opening exhibits in cities around the world during the 1970s and 80s. Many art critics consider the turning point of Grediaga's career his creation of a 96 foot hydraulic sculpture presented at the New York Art Expo in 1980 appropriately titled Turning Point. His sculptures combined classical art aesthetics along with modern, abstracted elements for a unique look. Today, Grediaga's impressive sculptures can be found in museums, public parks, gardens, and headquarters of major companies. His work can be seen at the Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Regan collection, the Rockefeller collection, IBM, and the Taipei National Museum. His career has lasted more than 50 years and the artist continues to produce large scale sculptures for public use and viewing along with many smaller tabletop bronze sculptures that have been extremely successful among independent art collectors.
