.54 bore, walnut stock with a light cartouche on the left side, brass butt plate dated "1808," brass escutcheon, trigger guard, side plate, and ramrod pipes, lock dated "1807" on the tail, barrel breech marked "US" on the top with a "P" over an eagle on the left side, with a trumpet-shaped iron ramrod. Note: Made by Springfield Armory between 1807-1810 with a total of 1,202 produced for gifts to friendly Native American tribes.
