In the early 1930s, a group of Polo players found themselves in need of a timepiece robust enough to survive to the brutality of their sport. Initially the thought was to create some sort of grill to cover the face of the watch similar to those used on military watches during WW1. Fortunately, that concept was scrapped for the much more innovative and aesthetically pleasing Reverso design. In the past 85 years the Reverso has seen several permutations but the watch at hand, is a lovely feminine interpretation of this classic design. On the front of the case you will find a tasteful array of diamonds and emeralds. Flip the case over to reveal a clean case back surrounded with a frame of diamonds and emeralds. The watch was found to be running at the time of cataloguing. It has not been tested for timekeeping accuracy and may require adjustment.
