Antique Photo Album of All Girls School Class of 1919. This is an antique photo album from the years 1917-1919. The front cover says "Photographs" in a lovely decorative font. A cursive inscription at the beginning has the name Sarah Gertrude, along with a surname that looks like it says Porrine, though it is difficult to tell. The next line appears to say Oaksmere, the name of an affluent girls' school that was located in New Rochelle, with the dates 1917-1919. The album contains photos of young women who seem to be classmates and friends of this Sarah Gertrude. There are photos of girls at the beach, formal events, sports games, and so on. In one photo, two girls are embracing (possibly kissing) and in another, two are dancing together. One cardigan appears repeatedly throughout the album. It looks to have the letters Q (or possibly an O and T overlapping), T, O, O, O on it. At the end, there are formal school photos of individual students, and one group photo (pictured second in this listing). The second half of the album is blank. This piece of personal history is truly one of a kind.

Dimensions are 7 in h x 10.75 in w x 1.25 in d. Condition is very good. There is some surface wear throughout. Some of the writing is slightly smudged and faded. Please call or email for a detailed condition report.
