A MOONSTONE NECKLACE, graduated round cabochon moonstones in claw settings, threaded to a woven link chain. Length 36.5cm, 19.5 grams

Some wear to the woven chain including kinks and some minor splitting, mainly to the to section of the chain after the stones, the moonstone links twist upwards in some cases due to the nature of the chain. Fitted with a later barrel clasp, which can be easily removed, would have originally been threaded with ribbon to the ends of the chain. The largest moonstone measures 11.75mm x 5.43mm approximately, the smallest moonstone measures 6.33mm x 2.78mm approximately. It is not hallmarked or stamped but in our opinion would test as gold.
