LONG ISLAND, NEW YORK FOLK ART CARVED AND PAINTED DOWITCHER SHOREBIRD DECOY, branded "T. ROGERS" to underside of base. Retains likely original painted surface. Presented on a custom iron stand. From the gunning rig of Theodore Rogers (Jamaica Bay, Long Island, NY). Fourth quarter 19th century. 11" HOA, 9 3/4" LOA.
